So Tiger Woods makes his comeback and falls short to Tim Clark. Clark played some of his best golf. 16 holes of golf, totally bogey free. And Tiger Woods couldn’t match him.
Although Tiger lost in this match play, he felt, as he says “Good”. Tiger who is ranked #1 and Clark who is ranked #8 knocked Tiger out of the Accenture Match Play Championship of the 2nd round.
Tiger Woods had gone 82 consecutive holes without trailing until he caught a plugged lie in a bunker on the sixth hole and failed to save par. He squared the match with a 10-foot birdie on the next hole, and it was tied at the turn.
All in all, I think Tiger played a great game. Although he was a 3 timer winner in this event, we have to remember he is just returning. No, that’s no excuse but it’s the truth. Tiger left with a good sense of humor and did his best. But what it comes down to is the South African, Tim Clark played GREAT!
