super_bowl_xliii_logoThe last time I did one of these dueling football predictions columns with my homeboy Mr. Swag So Sick.  I stupidly picked Oklahoma to upset Florida for the national championship.  My reasoning: Because the Sooners were in full and total “We’ve been disespected” mode and seemed to have that fearless eye of the tiger.

Turns out they also had the speed of an armadillo, and Whitley won the prognostication battle by his prudent decision to pick the favored Gators.

Whitley should have and could have stuck with this play-it-safe strategy, but when I asked him who he was picking in today’s Super Bowl between Pittsburgh and Arizona, he informed me he wanted the Cardinals.  I put on my lil poker face to hide my excitment because I didn’t want him to change his mind, but now tht we’re officially in the online sports industry let me just say this:

The Cardinals?

BWWWAHAHAHAHA!

Picking disfuntional Arizona against dynastic Pittsburgh in a Super Bowl is like picking Briny Baird against Tiger Woods in the Masters; it’s like picking the little ole lady against Jimmie Johnson in the Daytona 500; it’s like picking Ralph Nader against Barack Obama in the presidential election.

Picking against the Steelers is simply un-Swaggarefic, evidence by the fact that even President Obama (The Original Mr. Swagga) made the swaggamovent  and of coursed made the incorrect move of actually rooting for one team (Pittsburgh) in the Super Bowl.

Now trust me, I wish the best the Cardinals and their squad.  If they were against my Tampa Bay Bucaneers I would say they had a good chance of winning.  For them to actually make it to the “Big Show” for the 1st time in their Franchise history, is a HUGE accomplish in itself.  To win it (being 9-7) would be just like a wow.  If they did I’m sure Arizona would be partying all night, along with the Mayor.  Santonio Holmes is going to be key in this game!

Ok so we’ve came to the conclusion that the Steelers will take this hands down.  So when I say this next part it is going to suprise you, but I’ll ofcourse explain it.  However it’s going to be a Steelers Win!  The game will be very close.  Why do you ask?  Because although they’ve played a very solid season, their offense doesn’t get going like it should until the 2nd half.  And that’s if they get going then.

Actually the Pittsburg Steelers haven been getting down to business in the 4th quarter of most if not all of thier games.  Just like my Bucaneers, they have had a few lucky streaks which gave the momentum and helped them make it to the Super Bowl.

So to wrap it up, I’ll say the Pittsburg Steelers by 6!  I know I’m going to hear alot of trash talk about that but it’s only true.  Especially being Fitzgerald will have a very nice game and some key catches.
