Tonight’s matchup at 7:00pm est, Miami (FL) vs. Florida State University is an intriguing matchup.
—————-
Lets take a look at some key issues to figure out which team will win tonight.
- Miami is 15-9 overall compared to FSU’s 19-6 record.
- FSU is playing at home.
- FSU has 3 home losses this season (Duke, UNC, and Pitt).
- Miami has lost 3 straight road games (Duke, Maryland, NC State).
- Miami beat FSU in their last meeting, in Miami by 6 points.
- FSU’s impressive wins include Cal, Florida and Clemson.
- Miami’s impressive wins include @ BC and vs. Wake Forest.
Miami is led by Jack McClinton, who averages 20.3 ppg. FSU is led by Toney Douglas, who averages 20.3 ppg as well. Jack McClinton has been HOT lately, with 30+ points in his last 3 games. On the other hand, Toney Douglas has been pretty consistant this season and leads his FSU squad like a guard should.
This is an even matchup, plain and simple. Both teams are decent, but neither have a complete edge over the other. The safe bet would be to pick FSU because they are at home and have a better record. Home-court plays a HUGE advantage in NCAA basketball and I believe this will stay true tonight.
My pick: FSU 71, Miami 63

Oh nice post. I gotta say, no this I will have to agree with you. But the score will be more like 85-63. I’m having the funny feeling someone is going to get hurt or thrown out of their game and the team is going to fall to pieces.
Miami has a good team but the are not at all CONSISTENT! Florida State University Seminoles will walk all over them in the first half and them let them within 15-20 in the second Half!
