Is Manchester United a one-man team? To some it seems so. Recently Arjen Robben and Bayern Munich described the club in this fashion. They said that Manchester United is a one-man team and the club too heavily relies on the brilliance of striker Wayne Rooney.

On Tuesday Bayern Munich will be facing Man Uni for the Champions League tie. Arjen Robben seems to know the secret of beating Man Uni. He is certain that if they stop Wayne Rooney then they will be able to beat this English champions.

Recently Arjen Robben, 26-year-old, said in an interview to the media, “This Manchester United team is not invincible. If the Press want to see them as favourites then that suits us because all the pressure will be on them.”

Nice thought in fact, but Rooney himself will fetch more fans in South Africa and this will be proved by the sale of world cup 2010 tickets there.

He also added further, “I have watched them on television many times recently and their team is certainly not as powerful as it was in the last two years. Rooney has been phenomenal this season. But at the moment he seems to be their only solution: What about if he doesn’t function?”

He believes that the team of Sir Alex Ferguson is now too much  has dependent on striker Wayne Rooney since the exit of winger Cristiano Ronaldo from the club last summer.

Arjen Robben also mentioned that Rooney has become the star for Manchester United since the Cristiano Ronaldo was sold last summer. He added that they will be prepared in stopping the striker in tuesday’s match.

He said further that their defenders will distract Rooney non-stop for
180 minutes as the squad is almost a one-man team.
