Thanks for joining us today.  I see the leaderboard getting crowded up there but I do see you holding on.  So lets get the interview going!

1) So what’s your real name and where you from bro?
$2500 HUN-ED) Name is Lamar and I am from North Carolina.

2) Did you compete in the last Streak For The Cash Contest? If so how did you do?
$2500 HUN-ED) No, I wasn’t in the other contest that i believe sambig or whatever his name is won.  I actually just started 1 Jan 09 and my first pick was usc over penn state in the rose bowl.  Once I got that victory I was like THIS is TOO EASY and I will easily make the million. WELL IT ISNT EASY. halfway through Jan. I decided to forget the million and I was preparing for the monthly streak for Feb.

3) Ok I gotta ask you, not only did a member ask on the blog, but I got atleast 10 questions about your Soccer Picks!  So foreal bro, what’s up with your soccer picks? How the hell you are like .700 with over 20 picks?  Is there a secret you wanna share with us?

$2500 HUN-ED) well i will be honest i never liked soccer growing up. i only saw it in person live when i was in the army stationed in south koera. i always thought soccer was boring but if you want to be honest SOCCER picks are easier than any other sport. in soccer it is SO rare to have an upset. take for instance today’s matchup. most of america was thinking ROMA was gonna win. the reason why is because they looked at their record and they saw they had a better record than the other team. yes roma was underfeated in 2009 but check the stats out a little bit more! roma last five road games were defeats. the home team today played well at home. i was thinking it was going to either be a 1-1 game or 1-0 game. i was shocked it was 3-0. when picking the soccer matchup DO NOT pay attention to what people say in the ESPN chat room. those guys do not know much. the only one who truly seems like he knows his stuff is a guy called serbia but i do not listen to what he says. in the end it is my goal my dream of making tje 2500 so i go with my gut feeling.

to do well in soccer here are my suggestions:

*look at their recent match-ups
*look at how the teams play each other at what ever stadium is being used
*look at home and away records
*check out for any injuries
*go online and just google the two teams and see if you can find ANYTHING about the teams. i have gone to alot of european websites that have given me tons of info
*one final thing do not get trapped in a “sure pick” every sure pick i have picked in soccer has been a loss.

4) You sound like me with the whole soccer thing, I never liked it as well.  But with saying soccer is the EASIEST, which sport do you think is the hardest and why?
$2500 HUN-ED) maybe i spoke too soon. soccer is not easy, but according to my records i do the best with it. honestly the sport that in my opinion is the hardest to pick is golf. YOU KNOW know how a person will play in one round of golf. golf is so much more difficult to predict. i would say golf is the hardest and then i would say nascar is also hard. i have not picked any nascar events but there are too many unknowns with that. what if your guy gets in a wreck? what if their engine or something quits?

the sports i enjoy picking the most are soccer and college basketball.

5) If you win the $2.5k this month, will you go for the $1 Million?  Or will you continue each month to try to win the $2.5k?
$2500 HUN-ED) i honestly believe the million is next to impossible. i mean think about it. you have a 50-50 chance of getting a pick right. well you have a 25% chance of a two game win streak. 12.5% for three game and so on and so forth. i will continue to go for the 2500 dollars. that is the way to go. i mean earlier this month a guy whose name i believe was detlefschrimp or something like that was the monthly leader. he had 13 and the closest person had like 11 or so. well that guy started only picking one pick a day. he ended up missing a pick and his streak went back to zero. he also was basically out of contention for the monthly streak cause he took like a day or two off.

6) I see the leaderboard for the monthly has gotten kinda crowded.  Will you be changing how much you pick and which sports you pick, or will you pick as MUCH as possible?

$2500 HUN-ED)  i pick every possible game i can. to win this you have to pick EVERY game. you can not miss a game. there have been a few nights my girlfriend has gotten annoyed at me because i would have my alarm go off so i can pick a 11:30 p.m. game. you just have to pick and pick.

the leaderboard is crowded and it scares me alot. 4 days ago it was only like 4 people in contention now it is 14 people. i just have to get a winning streak.

it is like my friend john tells me. i should not worry about anyone except myself but i check the leaderboard every game seeing what the other people pick.

7) Out of the people on the top 100 leaderboard for the monthly.  Besides you ofcourse who do you think have a GOOD chance of winning?

$2500 HUN-ED)  i want to win but i believe the #1 seed in this month leaderboard is mr. obvious.

he is my biggest competition.

i am also worried about dolphins and lvalntin.

When you win the $2500 what you going to do with it?
$2500 HUN-ED)  pay off a credit card and save the other money. nothing fancy. i hope to win and then be back in the fight next month.
