Now, I have to admit, I am slightly biased towards the Heat, being that I live in Miami and have been a fan my whole life. But all personal feelings aside, the Heat just have better squad. Lets look into this matchup…
For the most part, the Pacers are led offensively by Danny Granger and T.J Ford. This dynamic duo packs a powerful punch and can easily run with the best. Granger’s 25.8 ppg has him amongst the league’s scoring leaders and is sending him to the all-star game.
On the other hand, the Miami heat are led offensively by Dwayne Wade, with the supporting cast of Udonis, Chalmers, Beasley, and Marion. D-Wade and his Heat have been turning heads this season, showing that a young, fast, small group can win games.
The Heat (25-19) head to Indiana on a 3-game winning streak, with wins over Orlando, Atlanta, and Washington. The Pacers (18-28) are coming off a solo win at home, against a garbage team. The Pacers have had one 3-game winning streak all season, and it was New Jersey, OK City Thunder, and another New Jersey win. Think about it…
Not only do I think Dwayne Wade will ball out in this one, I think Beasley will be a critical factor in whether or not the Heat pull off this road win. Not to say Granger and his buddies won’t put up a good fight, I just think the better TEAM will prevail in the end.
****DANNY GRANGER IS SLIGHTLY INJURED, AND MISSED HIS 4th GAME OF THE SEASON HE OTHER DAY. IF HE DOES NOT PLAY AGAINST MIAMI TONIGHT, THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO SHOT OF WINNING!
My prediction: Heat 107, Pacers 98
How confident am I with this pick? 7/10
